Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Get Noticed Studio collects and uses your personal information, and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. What we collect

Faces and voices. We use your photo and voice only to make the videos you ask for. We don't use them to identify you, and we don't use them to train AI models.
With "My voice", your recording is sent to ElevenLabs to make a temporary copy of your voice for that job. The copy is deleted when the job finishes. Your saved recording stays in your account until you delete it.
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- provide the Service
- process payments
- send account emails (sign-up confirmation, password resets, receipts, important changes)
- keep the Service secure
- meet our legal duties
We only send marketing emails if you agree, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
We never sell your personal information.
4. Who we share it with (our operators)
We use these trusted service providers to run the Service. Each only gets what it needs for its task:

Some providers process information outside South Africa. We only use providers that are bound by data-protection laws or agreements giving protection similar to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud or harm.
5. How long we keep it
- Account, settings and saved items: until you delete them or delete your account.
- Videos in My Projects: until you delete them or your account. Download links expire after 7 days, and a new one is made when you open the project.
- Temporary processing files:
- uploads used during a job are removed when the job ends
- other working copies are removed within 30 days
- Payment records: 5 years, because tax law requires it.
- Deleted accounts: removed straight away from the app. Backups roll over within about 30 days.
6. Security
We protect your information with:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- private storage that only your account can reach
- row-level security in our database
- signed, time-limited links for uploads and downloads
- secret keys kept on our servers, never in the app
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
7. Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to processing, and opt out of marketing at any time
- withdraw consent, for example by deleting a saved voice
- complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): https://inforegulator.org.za
You can change your name, password and defaults in Settings, and delete everything in Settings → Danger zone. For anything else, email hello@getnoticedstudio.co.za. We'll reply within 30 days.
8. Children
The Service is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children. Don't upload photos or recordings of children unless you're their parent or guardian and the video is lawful and appropriate.
9. Cookies and browser storage
- We use your browser's storage only to keep you signed in and remember your choices.
- We don't use advertising cookies or sell tracking data.
10. Changes
We'll update this policy when our practices change. Important changes will be emailed to you.
